Personal Information Protection Policy
Our Personal Information Protection Policy, in compliance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Act (PIPA), outlines the principles and practices we follow in protecting personal information. Our Personal Information Protection Policy is a commitment to ensuring the confidentiality and security of our customers’ personal information, as well as allowing our customers access to that information.
Collecting Personal Information
Lune Wellness only collects the personal information necessary to complete an order. That information is provided voluntarily by the customer at the time an online account is created by the customer. Alternatively, if a customer chooses to not create an online account, the information is provided voluntarily by the customer when placing an order as a Guest.
The information provided by the customer includes the following:
- Customer name
- A shipping address to create a shipping label for delivery of the order
- An email address to send a tracking number to the customer when an order has been shipped. It might also be used if Lune Wellness requires clarification on some issue related to the order.
- A telephone number to only be used in the event a customer cannot be reached by email and/or there is some issue related to the order that requires a timely response.
All orders and survey responses, complete with the personal information provided by customers, remain indefinitely in our database, or until such time that Lune Wellness chooses to remove such information, or Lune Wellness is asked by the customer to permanently delete such information.
Requesting Removal of Personal Information
Customers can request their personal information to be permanently removed from the Lune Wellness database by contacting email@example.com.
Using and Disclosing Personal Information
Lune Wellness does not use or disclose a customer’s personal information for any purpose other than to complete orders, and does not sell customer lists or personal information to third parties.
Lune Wellness does not have access to any financial-related information used by a customer in placing an order.
Lune Wellness does not retain I.P. addresses.
Lune Wellness reserves the right to use testimonial information pertaining to Lune Wellness products and services, as provided by customers. In no instance will a customer’s personal information be revealed in the use of a testimonial provided by a customer.
Ensuring Accuracy of Personal Information
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the customer’s personal information is accurate and up to date.
Customers who have set up an online account at lunewellness.ca, can access their accounts to update their personal information and update it as necessary.
Securing Personal Information
The following security measures are followed to ensure customer personal information is appropriately protected from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal or similar risks:
- Physically securing offices where personal information is held
- Use of user IDs, passwords, encryption, and regularly updated firewalls and other security programs.
- Restricting employee access to personal information as appropriate
Lune Wellness uses appropriate security measures when destroying customer’s personal information such as deleting electronically stored information and shredding any hard copy documents.
Lune Wellness continually reviews and updates security policies and controls to ensure ongoing security of personal information as technology changes.
